Choose D Line if…

  • Several people share the phone system and you want one workspace price instead of a per-user bill.
  • You want call recording on every plan and AI transcription with summaries on Advanced.
  • Your team uses desktops and desk phones as well as mobile, or wants click-to-call from a Chrome extension.
  • You want team video calling in the same workspace as your business line.

Choose iPlum if…

  • You handle protected health information and need a signed BAA: iPlum offers one on Professional and Enterprise, and D Line does not today.
  • You need long-term text and call archiving for FINRA or SEC record-keeping.
  • Your people are often on weak data connections and need calls over the cellular network with a business caller ID.
  • You need secure or group texting, or voicemail transcription, today.

Is D Line cheaper than iPlum?

For one person, iPlum Standard ($13.99/month, or $8.99 billed annually) costs less than D Line Base ($20/month). For teams, iPlum is priced per user and D Line per workspace, so five people needing call recording pay $154.95/month on iPlum Enterprise and $35/month on D Line Advanced.

Is D Line HIPAA compliant like iPlum?

No. D Line does not offer a Business Associate Agreement today. If you need a BAA, iPlum Professional or Enterprise is the better fit.

Can I port my number from iPlum to D Line?

Usually, yes. iPlum's FAQ says port-out requires a paid unlock plus any carrier charges; Quo's porting guide lists the unlock at $19.99 per number. D Line does not charge to port your number in.

Does iPlum have a desktop app?

iPlum offers web calling in its portal on Professional and up, and GetApp lists web, iOS, and Android apps. D Line has Mac and Windows desktop apps as well as the browser and mobile apps.

Does D Line transcribe calls?

Yes, on Advanced: about 1,000 transcription minutes a month with AI summaries. Base does not include transcription, and D Line does not offer voicemail transcription today.
