A fair fit check

Who should choose which.

Choose D Line if…

  • You want call recording and ring groups without moving every line to the top tier.
  • You would rather not sign a 12-month contract to get the lower price.
  • You want an AI agent and AI call summaries in the plan.
  • 24/7 support from people, not a chatbot, matters to you.

Choose Vonage if…

  • You run large video meetings: Vonage Meetings allows up to 200 participants from Premium.
  • You have 20 or more lines and can use its volume pricing and the annual promotion.
  • You want App Center integrations such as Salesforce and Microsoft Teams today.
  • You already use Vonage APIs and want one vendor.

Switching

How to move from Vonage to D Line

Do not cancel Vonage before the port completes. Cancelling first can release the number.

  1. 01

    Set up D Line first

Start a 14-day trial, invite your team, and build call menus, ring groups, and voicemail on the temporary number. Users and extensions are unlimited on both plans.

  2. 02

    Get your Vonage account details

Note the account number, any account or port-out PIN, and the name and service address exactly as Vonage has them. A recent bill helps.

  3. 03

    Check your contract

If you are on a 12-month Vonage contract, check the end date: Vonage says early termination fees apply to its annual promotion.

  4. 04

Request the port in D Line

Sign the Letter of Authorization (LOA) and submit the port from the phone numbers area of your workspace. Porting in is free, and eligibility and timing are confirmed before the move.

  5. 05

    Test, then cancel

When D Line confirms the port, test inbound calls and texts, register texting (10DLC) if you use it, then cancel Vonage.
