DialNote alternative

A DialNote alternative with unlimited calling, not a minute pool

DialNote and D Line make the same pitch: one price per account, add users for free. The difference is what the price buys. DialNote’s Team plan includes 700 calling minutes and 750 texts a month, with overage and AI calls paid from a prepaid wallet. D Line’s calling is unlimited under fair use, and the AI agent’s 2,000 monthly minutes never bill overage. We make D Line; DialNote figures come from dialnote.com, checked Oct 2026.

A fair fit check

Who should choose which.

Choose D Line if…

  • Your team talks for more than a few hundred minutes a month and you do not want to watch a pool or a wallet.
  • You want the AI agent’s minutes included, with no per-minute AI charge.
  • You want call queues, business-hours routing, team video and IP desk phones in the same workspace.
  • You want a person on support by phone at any hour.

Choose DialNote if…

  • You are a solo operator with light call volume; Solo is the lowest entry price here.
  • You want several AI voice agents and knowledge bases on one account.
  • You want HubSpot, Calendly, Zapier or Slack connected on the plan rather than on request.
  • You text in volume and the Business or Pro text pool covers you.

Switching

How to move from DialNote to D Line

Do not cancel DialNote before the port completes. Cancelling first can release the number.

  1. 01

    Set up D Line first

Start a 14-day trial, invite your team, and build call menus, ring groups, and voicemail on the temporary number. Users and extensions are unlimited on both plans.

  2. 02

    Get your DialNote account details

Note the account number, any account or port-out PIN, and the name and service address exactly as DialNote has them. A recent bill helps.

  3. 03

List the DialNote numbers you own

Note every number on the DialNote account, including any added at the extra-number rate, so each one is in the port request.

  4. 04

Request the port in D Line

Sign the Letter of Authorization (LOA) and submit the port from the phone numbers area of your workspace. Porting in is free, and eligibility and timing are confirmed before the move.

  5. 05

    Test, then cancel

When D Line confirms the port, test inbound calls and texts, register texting (10DLC) if you use it, then cancel DialNote.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does DialNote really include unlimited users?

According to dialnote.com (Oct 2026), the Team, Business and Pro plans include unlimited users; Solo is a single user. The limits on those plans are on pooled minutes, texts and numbers rather than on people. D Line also has unlimited users, and its calling is unlimited under fair use rather than pooled.

How many minutes does the DialNote Team plan include?

700 calling minutes and 750 texts a month, with 2 numbers, per the DialNote pricing page. Minutes beyond the pool are billed from a prepaid wallet. D Line Base includes unlimited US and Canada calling under fair use for $20/month.

Is D Line cheaper than DialNote?

For a solo user with light usage, DialNote Solo (from $15/month) is cheaper than D Line Base ($20/month). For a team, D Line Base and Advanced ($35/month) both undercut DialNote Team (from $39/month) while including unlimited calling; the comparison depends on how much you call and text.

How do AI calls cost on DialNote compared with D Line?

DialNote bills AI agent calls from a wallet at $0.49/minute or through an AI call pack ($25/month for 65 calls). D Line includes 2,000 AI minutes per workspace per month on both plans; when they run out the AI stops answering and calls take the normal route, with no overage charge.

Can I move my number from DialNote to D Line?

Usually, yes. Keep DialNote active, request the port from D Line, and cancel DialNote only after D Line confirms the move. D Line does not charge to port a number in.
